History of Golden Creative Design & Marketing

Golden Silkscreening Company Ltd. (Golden) is a Lakeside, Nova Scotia company owned and managed by Mr. Jim Baker since 1977. The company's textile product line includes such items as T-shirts, hats, vests, jackets, pants, golf shirts and sweatshirts, which are normally purchased from outside suppliers and then silk-screened and embroidered. Golden not only manufactures products but also designs, markets, and distributes them. Over the last 28 years the company has built a solid reputation for original quality products, exceptional workmanship and reliable on-time delivery.

Initially, the company concentrated on their regional market but over the years has expanded their distribution. Currently, Golden focuses on the tourism, food, school, and retail segments of the market. They primarily distribute its products through retailers or directly to end-users, although in some markets it utilizes distributor and sales agents.

Golden also holds two licenses, Floppy Tops & the Trailer Park Boys. For the last five years Golden has been selling Floppy Tops which are a very unique line of children's clothing that has a patented interactive design that makes the products appealing. In 2003 the company negotiated an agreement with TBP Productions of Halifax, producers of the popular "Trailer Park Boys", to use Trailer Park Boys personalities and logos on Golden's products. To date both ventures have been successful and Golden has been pleased with sales of all its product lines, which is distributed primarily through Canadian distributors, retailers and via internet-based sales.

In August of 2006 the company had a vision to create a clear division between their Marketing & Sales Department and their Manufacturing & Services Departments. An expansion developed and Golden Silkscreening Company Ltd. established a sister company known as Golden Creative Design & Marketing. The purpose of this new company was to be the driving force behind Golden Silkscreening Company Ltd. by utilizing 18 of their well-established sales representatives and distributors across Canada and the United States to generate production through sales.
